This Privacy Policy explains what information the WinSphere app (“WinSphere”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles, where it is kept, and who can see it. We wrote it in plain language on purpose.
The short version: WinSphere has no accounts and keeps your wins and stories on your device. The only time any of your content leaves your phone is when you open a completed Sphere and the app asks our writing service to turn that period's wins into a short story.

1. No account, no sign-in
WinSphere does not ask you to register, log in, or give us your name, email address, or phone number. There is no user account. You can use the whole app without telling us who you are.
2. What information the app handles
Information you create and that stays on your device
- Your wins — the text you write, plus any emoji, tag, and the sticker and position you give each win.
- Your stories and themes — the reflections generated from your wins for each completed period.
- Your preferences — the app language you choose, your optional grammatical-gender setting (used only so a generated story uses the right verb and adjective forms in Ukrainian and Spanish), how often your Sphere opens, and whether your daily reminder is on.
All of the above is stored only on your device. We do not have a copy, and we cannot see it.
Information the app reads but does not keep or send
- Device language — read once, when you first open the app, to pick a starting language. It is not stored by us and never leaves your device.
- Motion sensor (accelerometer) — read only to gently animate the Sphere on screen. It never leaves your device and is never stored.
Information handled only to write your story (see Section 4)
- The text of a completed period's wins, your chosen language, and, if you set it, your grammatical-gender choice.
3. What we do not collect
To be clear, WinSphere does not:
- require or collect any account, name, email, or password;
- use any analytics, tracking, or measurement tools;
- show ads or use any advertising identifier (such as Apple's IDFA);
- track you across other apps or websites;
- access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location, health data, or calendar;
- collect any device identifier for advertising or profiling.
4. When your content leaves the device: story generation
WinSphere turns your wins into a short reflection using Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. This is the only feature that sends any of your content off the device.
- When it happens: only when a Sphere is completed and its story is created for the first time. The result is then saved on your device and reused, so the same content is not sent again.
- What is sent: the text of that period's wins, your chosen language, and (if set) your grammatical-gender choice.
- What is not sent: your name, email, device identifier, location, or contacts — because the app does not collect them.
- How it travels: the app sends this to our own small server (hosted by DigitalOcean), which forwards it to Anthropic's API over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Our server does not store your wins; it only passes them through to generate the story and returns the result.
- Abuse prevention: our server briefly processes your device's network (IP) address to limit automated abuse of the service. It is not stored and is not used to identify you.
- Anthropic's handling: Anthropic processes this text to generate your story. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, your content is not used to train their models. If you never open a completed Sphere, none of your content is ever sent anywhere.
The story itself is AI-generated creative text and may be inaccurate or imperfect — it is a gentle reflection, not advice, fact, or guidance. WinSphere is not a medical, psychological, or crisis service; see our Terms of Use.
5. How your information is used
- Your wins, stories, and preferences are used to run the app for you on your device.
- The wins you send for story generation are used only to write that story and return it to you.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising or marketing.
6. Permissions the app may ask for
- Notifications — asked only if you turn on the daily reminder in Settings. If you allow it, the app schedules a gentle daily reminder on your device to note a win. No information is sent to us to do this. If you decline, the reminder simply stays off and the rest of the app works normally. You can change this any time in Settings, or in your device's system settings.
The app does not request any other permission.
7. Where your data is stored and how long we keep it
- Your wins, stories, and settings are stored on your device for as long as you keep the app installed, or until you delete them.
- We do not keep a server-side copy of your wins or stories.
- The story text sent to Anthropic is retained only according to Anthropic's own terms and is not stored by us.
8. Deleting your data
You are in control of your data:
- Delete everything in the app: open Settings → Delete my data. This permanently removes all of your wins, stories, and settings from the device. This cannot be undone.
- Delete the app: removing WinSphere from your device also deletes all of the information it stored there.
9. Children
WinSphere is not directed to children and is not intended for use by children under the age required to consent to data processing where you live (at least 13). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app has no accounts and stores data on the device, we do not gather personal details from any user.
10. Security
Your content is stored in the app's private storage on your device and benefits from your device's built-in protections. When wins are sent for story generation, they travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure, but we keep the amount of data that leaves your device to the minimum needed to create your story.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Use Delete my data to erase everything. If you have questions, contact us at hi@yavno.ooo.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this policy and change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, we will make it clear within the app.
